Lord & Taylor. Gucci. Bloomingdales. H&M. Louis Vuitton. Barnes & Noble. Michael Kors. Sephora. And the Fashion Court. Is all that went through my head, as my family and I were having an early dinner at the Coastal Flats in the Tyson’s Corner Mall. It was New Year’s Eve, and there were sales pretty much everywhere you looked. I could even see from where I was sitting that Barnes & Noble was having a 50% off sale. My family and I decided at dinner that we were all going to hit Barnes & Noble first, since it was the closet to where we were in the mall, and then divide up afterwards. It was about 5:45 when we arrived at Barnes & Noble, little to know that the mall, itself was closing at 6 due to the fact that it was New Year’s Eve. I went right towards the magazine section, where they carry International Fashion magazines, (something that only the Barnes & Nobles in the city and at Tyson’s Corner seem to do, reason being why I love that Barnes & Noble so very much). I then took a glance and then headed up the escalator, (one thing that I will never stop loving, I mean they are stairs that magically move you up another story: no moving involved), to see if they had any books on Fashion, before I settle on which magazines to purchase. But just as I get off the escalator, an somebody announces that the mall is closing in 5 minutes, “Make your final purchases!” With a sad feeling inside of me, I find my Dad and brother, Will getting ready to head down the escalator, I join them and later head with them to check out. In the end, I did manage to get i-D’s Winter Issue, with one of my all-time favorite Models, Cara Delevingne on the Cover, (the magazine itself I’ve been wanting to get an issue of lately), window shop the H&M store, look at a chair big enough for Clifford the Big Red Dog to sit in, and snap a pic of a Chanel N5 ad: All after closing time! #score
